Mission Statement

Our founding purpose, in full.

"To place India on the global mental health map through evidence-based practice, high quality training and supervision, socially meaningful research, development of indigenized models of MH practice and extensive professional networking."

This mission guides every part of IACBT's work — from the courses and supervision we offer, to the research we support, to the partnerships we maintain with the Asian CBT Association (ACBTA) and the World Confederation of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (WCCBT).

We believe that good mental health care depends on well-trained practitioners, and that training and supervision in India must be built to global standards while remaining rooted in Indian clinical realities — hence our continued focus on indigenized models of practice.
